Since 1996, Trex® has invented, defined, and perfected the composite deck category with a lineup of low maintenance, high performance, eco-friendly decking products that have fundamentally changed the way we live outdoors. Trex® is the world’s largest manufacturer of wood plastic composite decking, with fewer ongoing maintenance requirements than timber. The Trex Enhance® range offers an authentic wood-grain appearance with the durability of composite and the affordability of timber.
CodeMark Certification
Trex® Composite Decking is CodeMark certified in New Zealand—giving you even more confidence in meeting strict building standards and streamlining the consent process.
Trex Enhance® Composite Decking boards are scalloped, making them our lightest composite deck boards yet. This long-lasting decking requires little upkeep and is available in three colours. CodeMark Certified and sustainably manufactured, Enhance is made using 95% recycled plastic film and reclaimed sawdust. It is a high-performance decking that resists fading, scratches and stains and is backed by the Trex® 25-Year Limited Residential Fade & Stain Warranty.
Trex SunComfortable™ heat-mitigating technology is offered in the tones Honey Grove and Golden Hour, for decking that stays cooler and reduces heat buildup. Cheap versions of composite decking often become so hot in warmer temperatures it is impossible to stand on. *Trex SunComfortable™ decking stays cooler than our original boards, but like all decking, it will get hot in direct sun, especially darker colors. Care should be taken to avoid extended contact between exposed skin and the deck surface, especially with young children and those with special needs.
The Trex Enhance® range is designed not only for style but for budget-minded builds and a worry-free alternative to timber.
CodeMark Certification
Having CodeMark certification takes the uncertainty out of compliance, the certification confirms our Trex Enhance® composite decking range meets NZ Building Code requirements, simplifying the consent process and giving you total confidence from specification through to installation on all projects large to small, commercial and residential.
Performance you can trust with CodeMark Certification and a 25 Year Limited Residential Fade & Stain Warranty.
Installation of Trex Composite Decking
It is important to note that Trex Composite Decking is not to be laid the same as a traditional timber deck. Unlike timber decking, composite decking shrinks & expands at the cut ends not width ways, hence breaker boards are required and expansion gaps at the ends. Please see our installation guide for a detailed breakdown on the construction of a Trex deck.
